Morningscore acquires Tiny Ranker

morningscore tiny ranker acquisition - Morningscore SEO tool

Danish Morningscore, the company behind a gamified SEO tool for small and medium-sized businesses, has just acquired competitor Tiny Ranker. The acquisition comes shortly after the company secured new capital and expertise from serial entrepreneurs Bo Møller and Lasse Holbøll.

With the acquisition of Tiny Ranker, Morningscore pursues its ambition to become the leading SEO platform for smaller businesses in Europe. Since 2014, Tiny Ranker has helped countless companies monitor their Google rankings and understand their SEO performance—and that user base and technology now become part of Morningscore’s growth journey.

“We see this as an important strategic move. Tiny Ranker has been a strong product in the Danish market for many years, and we look forward to giving customers access to even more features through Morningscore,” says Karsten Madsen, CEO of Morningscore.

Consolidation in the SEO Market

The SEO software market is growing but also characterized by high competition—especially from large, international players. Here, Morningscore, with its gamified approach and strong visual user interface, will be a differentiated alternative. The acquisition of Tiny Ranker is seen as a natural step for Morningscore, which aims to be among the largest in the EU.

“There are many small and medium-sized SaaS products in the SEO industry, but far from all have happy customers and a great product like Tiny Ranker. When we got the opportunity to buy Tiny Ranker, we naturally took it,” says Bo Møller, Chairman and investor in Morningscore.

What Does It Mean for Users?

Tiny Ranker’s current users will be able to continue using the system as before, but over time Morningscore expects to offer users the option to migrate to its own platform, where more features and a more powerful visualized SEO dashboard await.

“We have great respect for Tiny Ranker’s users and the journey the product has been on. This is not about shutting anything down—but welcoming them into Morningscore and assisting with migration if desired,” says Karsten Madsen from Morningscore.

The founder of Tiny Ranker, Anders Pedersen, looks forward to handing over his business to Morningscore and has just accepted their offer because it was very important to him that the product and customers ended up in good hands.
