Morningscore's local rank tracker, shows you data based on the search results and search results for your chosen keyword. While our normal rank tracker provides you with a result based on the combined search data for the whole country you have selected.

This means that the data you receive will be more fitting to the specific area you have chosen. It's however important to note that the estimated search volume for your keywords will be lower as a result, due to the area you have chosen to see data for will be smaller as well.

The local rank tracker can be useful for many different businesses, whether you are a smaller business focusing on a specific city or region, or a bigger business who wants to do focused research on a specific are you operate in.

If your business only operate locally, then having data for your specific area of operations can be invaluable, as it can help you in a multitude of ways, when it comes to making an SEO strategy.

If you are a bigger business it can be helpful to keep a track on the individual areas you operate in, or keep a closer look at a specific area, that you might want to focus on in particular.

A local rank tracker can help you in a multitude of ways, no matter what kind of business you run, though the ways it can help changes with different types of businesses.

If your business only operate locally, then being able to see the number of searches for keywords related to your field in your area is important. A keyword might appear to have a high search volume in general, but if none of that demand comes from your area, then it won't help you. It will also help you to know how you rank on a keyword locally, as you might rank higher in your own area, than nationally.

If you run a bigger business, that operate in multiple areas, then the local rank tracker can still be useful for you.

If you want to keep an eye on an individual area you operate in, then the local rank tracker can tell you how you perform there. The local rank tracker can also help you with gaging the potential interest in your product, in other areas. Simply choose to scan for relevant keywords in that area, and then view the estimated search volume there.

You can see historical data for your rankings on certain keywords, dating back to when you first added the keyword to the rank tracker.

You can do this by clicking on the 3 dots to the far right of the keyword, and then choose "See keyword history"

You can also do this for area-specific keywords you are tracking.

The frequency of updates to keywords changes depending on whether you have tracked the keyword or not. Please note that all of the keywords in the local rank tracker, count as tracked keywords automatically.

If a keyword is tracked then it will be updated in Morningscore daily, otherwise it's update monthly.

Morningscore's local rank tracker can show you many other things than just your rankings on the keywords, here's an overview over the different metrics Morningscore provides.

You can see the total search volume for your keywords. This can help you gage the interest in a keyword.

You can also see an estimate of the traffic your keyword provides monthly.

Additionally it's also possible to see the estimated CPC for your keywords. This refers to how much each click on Google searches for that keyword would be worth.

Lastly you can see your Morningscore. This is a metric that shows how much the promotion you have gotten from SEO on this keyword would be worth in paid ads.

You can sort your keywords by location in the rank tracker, by clicking on the field saying location at the top.

Additionally you can also arrange your keywords into folders, if you would rather sort your keywords that way.

You cannot see your competitors rankings suing the local rank tracker, by changing the displayed website, like you can on the "All keywords" tab or with links.

It is however possible to use Morningscore's SERP-checker, to see what a search on the selected keyword looks like in the selected area. By using the SERP-checker you can see what the top 100 search results are, which lets you find out if your competitors rank for it.

You can access the SERP-checker by clicking on the three dots to the far right of the keyword, and then selecting "See all ranks"

Morningscore exclusively supports and shows data for Google, as it is by far the most used search engine.

The amount of keywords you track with the local rank tracker is counted as a tracked keyword in the normal keyword tracker.

This means the amount of keywords you can track depend on your version of Morningscore. If you are currently using the free trial version, you are able to track up to 20 keywords at once.
