Why Morningscores new prices are actually cheap

This is an opinion piece with some slight provocation and attempts at humor, but my point is serious:

In January 2026 we increased all our prices with $20-30/month. So our plans now start from $69/month. See pricing page

Meanwhile our competitors did something sneaky 😉

They put basic features into “add-ons”.

I have nothing against add-ons per se. But when core functionality is suddenly an add-on, it’s not cool!

I am looking at you Semrush, Ahrefs, SE Ranking and many more

    Example:
You are all saying your tool covers GEO (AI visiblity). But only if I pay you tons of money.

A few examples (prices as of January 2026):

    • Ahrefs: Base price: $129/mo – AI add-on: +$199/mo = $328/mo
    • Semrush: Base price: $139/mo – AI add-on: +$99/mo = $238/mo
    • SE Ranking: Base price: $65/mo – AI add on: +$89/mo = $154/mo

And then I didn’t even get content tools or API yet…

Sure, let me pay $150-1000 more per month for that 🥳🥳🥳

As we say in Danish “Tak for kaffe” (“thanks for coffee” = surprised)

So yes, Morningscore increased our prices $20-30 to cover all the new data we now collect for you (close to a 50% increase in data and tools compared to last year) but we offer EVERYTHING in each plan. SEO, GEO, AI automation like content writers and website plugins, API and much more.

    Morningscores price:

    • Base price: $69/mo – AI add-on: $0 – API: $0 – content tools: $0 = still just $69/mo

    Fairness disclaimer:
Especially Ahrefs and Semrush have several features we do not. And they do collect some data we do not. But again, I tested their GEO tools recently and wasn’t that impressed with for example prompt and AI Overviews data.

In conclusion I just want to say that I do respect our competitors choices, it’s a free and fair market, and I think they generally do a great job. No hate ♥
