Rank in GEO with Micro Long Tail – Fresh 2025 tactic

What you are reading right now is Micro Long Tail.

It’s essentially nothing fancy. It targets AI search like ChatGPT that users would do, and then it answers shorter than traditional SEO articles do.

So it can be as short as 50 words. Here is a summary:

  • Micro Long Tail is a term and model created by me (Karsten Madsen) in July 2025
  • Write long tail questions that you think users could have around your product or service like “Does Boston Flowers offer same day delivery on a Sunday?”
  • The answer can then be a short yes with some concrete follow up info
  • Also link to relevant other internal or external pages to guide the LLM or Google.
  • The goal is to be able to write articles within minutes instead of hours. On average it takes me 15 minutes per article.
  • Use lists (like this) and tables when it makes sense. It helps your ranking.

A cool way to speed up Micro Long Tail

  1. Search Google for your long tail term. Example: “”Does Boston Flowers offer same day delivery on a Sunday?”
  2. Copy the AI Overviews answer if it appears. Edit it a bit and clean the HTML (use an AI chatbot for that. Tell it to clean the HTML and remove all Google formatting).
  3. Insert it into your post and sometimes you are already done. But remember to edit it a bit before publishing.
