Items in the overview table above is explained in more detail here:

  • Websites: Think of it like projects. Example: In the Business you can get API data for 10 websites. Add and remove via API coming soon. You can add 3x your website limit. 30 in Business. Rests every month.
  • Tracked keywords amount: Total amount of keywords you can add with daily ranking updates. Add and remove via API coming soon.
  • 40k keywords per website: Per country (Google market) you can fetch up to 40 000 keywords ranking in position 1-100 sorted by highest impact. So e.g. 40k in USA and 40k in Germany. These keywords are found automatically via Morningscore every time you set up a website in a country.
  • Search volume, CPC, position: Just a few examples of metadata we provide. There is a lot more. Check the API endpoint here
  • AI Overviews: All tracked keywords will also get AIO data updated daily. Coming soon to API.
  • All linking domains: Also called referring domains. Get top 5000 linking domains for any website in Morningscore.
  • All backlinks: All backlinks from all top 5000 linking domains. So this is the total count of backlinks. Coming to Pro and Premium API soon.
  • All Health data: All the 30+ categories of problems we scan for for each landing page.
  • Health data: AI Fix: Automatic fixes for all problems via RANK AI. Each fix costs 1 AI credit. See below.
  • Health: Max URL's per website: Amount of total URL's scanned per website in your account.
  • AI articles: Programmatically generate SEO articles based on just a keyword. Scrapes your website to make the articles unique. Costs 1 AI credit. See below.
  • AI credits: Each plan has a certain amount of AI credits that reset every month. These are also consumed through the API when you request things that cost AI credits.
  • ChatGPT tracking: Each plan has a certain amount of tracked prompts similar to how tracked keywords work. See pricing below for details. Coming soon to the API.
  • Rate limit: On every plan we allow 2 requests per second. This is calculated using a running window, meaning at any given moment, the number of requests made in the previous 5 seconds cannot exceed 10.

Semrush has a lot of filters and data available when it comes to backlinks. Moz, Ahrefs and Semrush constantly battle over who has the best and freshest link databases. Currently we believe that to be Moz, but every provider has countries and industries where they are the strongest.

if your needs are heavy duty link building, do consider one of the 3 mentioned.

But you might find that Morningscore covers you perfectly as a great Semrush alternative for backlinks API

In Morningscore's Backlinks API, you can see your full backlink profile (top 5000 linking domains).

And when it comes to broken internal or external links, you can access all of that information in the Health Tool.

Don't worry about the quality of the backlink data as our link data is provided by Moz.

We collect premium data from 7 different partners. In general you can expect our data to be on pair with the top-3 SEO tools Semrush, Ahrefs and Moz. Their databases are much bigger than ours, but we operate differently. When you type in a website, we collect the data on-demand from all of our partners. That makes the data more fresh, but the initial load will be a little slower (10 seconds instead of 3 seconds roughly).
