Pages without an SSL certificate has the prefix "HTTP" before the address of their URL, whereas pages with an SSL certificate has the prefix "HTTPS" instead, (you can see the prefix by double clicking on the address bar).

When your site gets an SSL certificate its important that you remember to change the links leading to your site, so they include the new prefix "HTTPS" instead of the old one "HTTP". This can however be hard do as keeping track of all your links leading to your pages is easier said than done.

Users will be able to figure out if your website has an SSL tag in different ways, but there are two different methods, that are the most common

One of them is by looking for a lock ion at the left side of the address bar while on your page, if there is a lock icon the page has an SSL certificate. Sometimes the icon might not be a lock, but clicking on it will still reveal whether or not the site has an SSL certificate.

Another method is by double clicking on the address bar, which reveals the entire URL of the page. If the URL has the prefix "HTTPS" instead of the prefix "HTTP", then it means that the page has an SSL certificate.
