Painting business thrives after improving organic traffic

For painter Jean Ingemann, SEO started as a hobby. Now he works targeted with keywords and link building. This means he gets 75% of his customers from organic traffic, thanks to his dedication to SEO optimization in Morningscore. 

“The first time I came across the term SEO, I couldn’t keep up at all. They were using a lot of words I didn’t understand. It all seemed complicated because I hadn’t been properly introduced to the know-how,” Jean says. 

Jean considered whether buying an SEO tool was worth the effort, time, and money. He took the chance and started researching possibilities. He became familiar with Morningscore when a colleague recommended it to him. 

“It was a completely different experience. They were really good at breakings things down so that people would understand even with no knowledge within the area. In general, I learned that it’s not a dangerous field to enter,” says the painter. 

Not long after this, Jean got fascinated with SEO and the results he was able to create. 

Caught up in keywords, indexing, and optimization

“I’m kind of a nerd with computers. I think it’s fun to immerse myself in such things. In the beginning, I would spend many hours in the tool. I got caught up in this really exciting process. I could easily use five hours on weekends and a couple of hours on weekdays.”

He explains how he started at zero but was able to build a reasonable SEO foundation within approximately 70 hours. But less will do the job as well. 

“It pays off when seeing your keywords move upwards. The tool is fun to work and Morningscore is built like a game. It will boost and improve your business.” 

If you haven’t been focused on SEO optimization there are a lot of things to improve in the beginning. But the deeper you go into SEO optimization, the fewer problems will reveal themselves. And now it’s just a fun routine for Jean. 

“After fixing the most important standard issues it became a routine and a part of my workdays. I spend 4-5 hours a week in the tool now. But I’m not giving it much thought. It’s like a work task that’s fun to do.”

Results as clear as day

Jean Ingemann used Morningscore since November 2021 to attract organic traffic to his website from where the majority of his customers come from. 

“I used Google Ads to attract customers in the beginning. At the time I had 90% of my customers coming from Google Ads. Today, 75% of my customers come from organic traffic. This means that it’s way cheaper and far more efficient,” Jean says. 

He attributes the great results to the thorough beginner help and ongoing SEO guidance he has received through his Morningscore profile. 

“Thanks to Morningscore I started building a series of sub-sites. I became aware that my competitors ranked a lot higher than me because of such sites. Morningscore is generally efficient for monitoring what’s going on within your business.”

“I’ve been missing out on valuable knowledge”

Today, Jean primarily uses Morningscore to keep an eye on his competitors and their rankings. 

“I get a lot of inspiration from this area of the tool. Some of the links I find are easy to use on my website. I have a list of my closest competitors to follow and monitor. This is a lot of valuable knowledge that I’ve been missing out on for too long,” Jean says. 

At first, I thought of it as cheating, but now it’s natural to me to be targeted in SEO optimization when having competitors. 

Organic traffic has been overwhelming

The painter from Brøndby is very excited about the organic traffic that drives his company to the next level although it has an impact on the business going forward. 

“I’ve reached a point where I get so many inquiries that I can hire my first employee. This is without a doubt due to the work I’ve been doing in Morningscore.”

He is aware of the workload that comes with having all the tasks by himself.
“Sadly, sometimes I have to turn inquiries down. Before I was able to push the schedule for 14 days, but now I just can’t fit everyone. Therefore it would be nice to have one or two extra pairs of hands. Then I would be able to say yes to my clients when they require my service”.
